KHOLMOGORY FORESTRY IS SUBJECT TO FOREST INVENTORY WITH TITAN GROUP SUPPORT

This summer engineers form Arkhangelsk affiliate for Roslesinforg will carry out accounting, assessment and classification of the forest resources in the lands of Kholmogory forestry’s forest fund. The works will be performed under the state assignment as well as under Titan Group’s order. The forest managers will have to do taxation in the area exceeding 1 million hectares of forest. Such works have not been held here since 1994.

The holding helps the state to actualize forest inventory materials annually. Over the last five years Titan Group has initiated taxation works in Velsk, Nyandoma, Ustiany and Pinega forestries. It is Kholmogory forestry’s turn this year.

Before the start of the new field season the forest managers together with the forestry representatives conducted a team drill. Titan Group specialists from Lukovetskoe, Svetlozerskoe and Pinezhskoe subdivisions as well as from the Forestry Department took part in the on-site seminar too. This year the holding employees will have to perform checks on the quality and accept completed works on taxation of the leased forests in the area 580 thousand he.

“On-site drills help to refresh knowledge and see those in action, who will audit the forest resources and estimate the planted species structure. It was interesting and useful! Moreover it was Sergey Vasilievich Torkhov, an honored forester of Russian Federation, a man of colossal experience, who headed the drill”, - Irina Kudelina, Deputy Chief of Forestry Department for Titan Group, shared her impressions.

Titan has been cooperating with Arkhangelsk affiliate of Roslesinforg for more than 15 years. Over 400 contracts on forest inventory, cadaster works, forest development projects have been signed for all this time. The data are annually transferred to the unified center, which allows possessing more accurate and qualitative information on the region forest grounds.
